WHAT IS CONSULTASSISTENT?

ConsultAssistent is a programme that your doctor uses to collect relevant data about you and your health. With ConsultAssistent, you can give your doctor more information about your health problems before you go to your appointment in the hospital. ConsultAssistent contains questions about your complaint, about the pain or inconvenience and about the development of the complaint when the treatment with the doctor is finished.

Your doctor will review your answers in preparation for your outpatient appointment, or during the appointment itself. This gives you more time during the appointment with your doctor for detailed questions and additional information.

ConsultAssistent collects fully pseudonymised insights into complaint and complaint development from other patients with similar complaints. These insights are used by your doctor to improve your treatment. And in this way, you yourself also automatically contribute to the improvement of care.

HOW DOES THE CONSULTASSISTENT WORK?

ConsultAssistent is used by your doctor to support the different steps in your treatment:

Your first appointment at the outpatient clinic

A few days before your first appointment at the outpatient clinic, you will receive an e-mail invitation to complete the questionnaire. This is the e-mail address that is known to the hospital where you have the appointment.

The first time you use ConsultAssistent, you first create an account. With this account, you can always access your data. When logging in, an SMS code is sent to the phone number as known at the hospital for verification.

Depending on the department where you have an appointment, the questionnaire may consist of different parts. For example, a section with questions about your health problems, a section with your medical history and a section with general questions.

The number of questions varies depending on the department and the complaint you have. Often it takes about 10 to 15 minutes to fill in the questionnaire, but in situations it can also be more. In that case, more questions are needed to get a good picture of your complaints.

You can log out at any time and resume the questionnaire at a later time without having to start over.

Your second or next appointment at the outpatient clinic

A few days prior to your follow-up appointment, you may receive an e-mail invitation to complete the (abbreviated) follow-up questionnaire.

Again, depending on the department where you have your appointment and your complaints, different questions will be asked. Usually, the questions concern the development of the complaints. You can also change your profile and registered medication.

It often takes only a few minutes to complete this questionnaire.

After your treatment

In order to assess the result of the treatment on your complaint, you will receive questions about your symptoms a few weeks and months after completion of your treatment. These answers are used by your doctor to improve the quality of care.
