ConsultAssistent is a sponsor of the Erasmus MC Scientific CI Symposium

This year, the Rotterdam CI Center (Erasmus MC) is celebrating its 25th anniversary. The celebration will be held with fellow hearing care professionals and cochlear implant users.

On April 10, 2026, Tara Lamers and Bert Mooij attended the scientific symposium for Dutch and Flemish professionals as sponsors on behalf of ConsultAssistent. The symposium took place at BlueCity (010) —the former Tropicana Swimming Pool in Rotterdam.

ConsultAssistent has been active in ENT and hearing care for years with itsdigital automated medical history and follow-up software . There is also an increasing trend toward 𝗴𝗲𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗿𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗽 𝗮𝗳𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱, where patients can be assessed remotely using a combination of an audiogram, otoscopic images, and a validated questionnaire.

Our founder, Henk Blom, was one of the participants in the panel discussion on innovation in hearing care—an area where we at ConsultAssistent contribute every day.

Impressive real-life examples were shared from Belgium and the Netherlands. It’s amazing how cochlear implants give people their lives back by restoring their hearing from 100% loss to 0%, but also the challenges this presents—for example, when dating and in daily work, where you learn to listen incredibly well, according to Frances Gallimore.
