What are PREMs?

PREMs (Patient Reported Experience Measures) provide insight into how patients experience care. These (digital) questionnaires do not measure the outcome of care, but rather how patients experience care. Consider questions such as: did you feel heard, understood and well informed?

ConsultAssistent supports, among others, the PREM MSZ 3.0 and the Patient Experience Monitor (PEM). Care providers can easily measure according to the standards and gain insight into what really matters to their patients.

How does it work?

ConsultAssistent automates the entire process of measuring patient experience, linked to the EMR:

  • Automatic invitations through an EMR link of patients at set points in the care pathway, with automatic reminders for high response rates.
  • The appropriate PREM or PEM is automatically selected and sent, for example, after discharge or outpatient visit.
  • Smart invitation options: such as only re-inviting after a set time period in recurrent patients (e.g., with a PEM).
  • Questionnaires can be completed both anonymously and non-anonymously.
  • ConsultAssistent provides support for delivery of PREM data to ZorgkaartNederland and PEM data Expoints (including for national benchmark reports).
  • The data is securely stored in a research database with comprehensive features for consent recording, audit logging, data export for in-house analysis, and dashboards with daily updates for instant insight.
