Publication in the Dutch Journal of Otolaryngology

We are proud thatConsultAssistentcontributed to the publication on Persistent Postural Perceptual Dizziness (PPPD) in Dutch ENT practice (published inNTvKNO). With our digital automated medical history tool, we played a key role in the data collection that formed the basis of this study.

PPPD is a condition characterized by persistent dizziness and imbalance. This diagnosis is relatively new and not yet widely recognized, which means thatPPPD is still frequently missed or recognized only late in the course of the illness. As a result, patients do not always receive the appropriate treatment.

That is precisely why effective diagnosis begins with a structured and comprehensive review of the patient’s medical history. And that is exactly whereConsultAssistent’s strength lies:structured and relevant patient informationis collected prior to the consultation.

When a patient’s symptoms are consistent with PPPD, ConsultAssistentgenerates a targeted alert in the EPD reportfor the healthcare provider. This actively alerts the ENT specialist to a possible diagnosis.

➡️ Support in recognizing complex conditions such as PPPD
➡️ Reduced risk of missed or delayed diagnoses
➡️ A better foundation for targeted treatment

It's great to see how publications like this highlight the importance of smart,data-driven decision supportin the doctor's office. Want to read the full article?
