Sharing knowledge about smart healthcare: our session at Young ICC
Last week,Tara Lamers, on behalf of ConsultAssistent, gave the introductory presentation for theGeheelmeesters workshop. This took place during the Young ICC meeting for young physicians and researchers in the field of gastroenterology with a special interest in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD).
We shared insights about working smarter and more efficiently and how we can use data and smart tools to continuously improve healthcare. For example, how data can help improve triage and reduce waiting lists, who needs to be seen immediately and who can safely wait until later? And because this was the Geheelmeesters workshop, we naturally talked about dreams: the dream of learning from every patient how to improve care for the next one. But just as important was the part about waking up and stopping things that simply no longer work in healthcare, such as unnecessary physical consultations.
It's great to see how much motivation and ambition there is within this group of future gastroenterology specialists! Thanks to Young ICC, the Geheelmeesters, and everyone who attended for the inspiring session.
