More than twenty years ago, ENT specialist Henk Blom came up with the idea for ConsultAssistent, driven by the conviction that structured patient information is essential for the right diagnosis, treatment, and service.
From Rotterdam, our team works together with hospitals and clinics on smart consultation preparation and decision support.
This automatically generates a continuous stream of structured data for a learning healthcare system that is highly suitable for scientific research and innovation.
The starting idea was simple: if we know enough about patients, can we accurately predict how things will go for them?

Our mission
We want to keep healthcare accessible with the help of smart consultation preparation and decision support. ConsultAssistent gathers reliable, structured patient information before, during, and after the consultation on complaints, medication, and medical history. This creates a unique, structured dataset to learn from for triage support, diagnosis, choosing the best treatment, and delivering the best service at the right moment.
Our mission is to free up 20% of outpatient care providers' capacity so that more, and a greater variety of, patients can be seen within the same number of appointment slots. We achieve this through smart consultation preparation, AI reports, and decision support.
