Ommelander Ziekenhuis Groningen has begun collecting patient feedback digitally
The Ommelander Ziekenhuis Groningen has gone live at the Ophthalmology, Dermatology, Urology, and Rehabilitation outpatient clinics with the digital administration of the Patient Experience Monitor (PEM) via ConsultAssistent.
The PEM is a standardized questionnaire developed by the NVZ | Dutch Association of Hospitals and enables hospitals to measure patient experiences in a uniform manner and compare them with other hospitals.
Through ConsultAssistent, patients automatically receive an invitation to complete a digital questionnaire the day after their appointment. Patients are sent the PEM after their outpatient appointments no more than once a year. ConsultAssistent handles the entire process automatically: from sending the invitation at the right time to processing the responses in clear, easy-to-read dashboards. This gives the hospital immediate insight into how patients experience their care, including aspects such as communication, treatment, and the provision of information.
This is an important step toward systematically measuring patient experience. The PEM is now being rolled out to other (outpatient) clinics at Ommelander Hospital.
